While not a naughty item per se, this is pantyhose storage of fetish proportions.
The initial husband and wife requests were as follows:
1) Provide ample storage for their "collection".
Room for 180 new pairs in the package (with movable drawer dividers) and 24 worn pairs (with eastern red cedar liners).
2) Employ traditional high-quality construction techniques.
Only the best here. Sturdy frame construction with tried and true traditional joinery, including mortise and tenon and dovetails, held together with hide glue. We did improve tradition a little and added PTFE (teflon) runners so the drawers always slide smoothly. All the "bells and whistles" of truly hand-built furniture, including 3 separate hidden compartments and a hand-rubbed tung oil finish with paste wax topcoat.
3) They have a little dog that likes to push toys under things and dig them back out.
The beauty of custom furniture, we designed the piece to sit high enough for their dog to fit under.
4) A design that's stylish, curvy, and adoptable to other pieces of furniture.
Since our clients obviously appreciate legs, we used a ballerina's leg on pointe for inspiration. This gave us the height we needed to "dog proof", while adding a unique style. The design can easily be repeated for the rest of their bed room suite in the future.
5) Use woods from their 3 favorite travel destinations.
Fond memories forever... wenge from Africa, genuine mahogany from a plantation on Fiji, and lacewood from Australia blended together beautifully.
